MAC Address is short from of media access control Address | यह एक नेटवर्क Address होता है जो की each network node को uniquely identify करने के लिए काम मे आता है | क्योकि यह एड्रेस network interface को assign किया जाता है यह physical address segment मे कम्युनिकेशन के लिए काम मे आता है | Address को ज्यादातर IEEE 802 network टेक्नोलॉजीज (including Ethernet and WiFI) मे Network Address के लिए use करते है | Logically, MAC addresses are used in the media access control protocol sublayer of the OSI reference model. MAC Address network इश्यूज को troubleshoot करने लिए बहुत काम मे आ सकता है क्योकि ये कभी चेंज नहीं होता compare to dynamic IP address (in private or public domain) | एक नेटवर्क एडमिनिस्ट्रेटर के लिए MAC बहुत रिलाएबल source होता है ये जानने के लिए की नेटवर्क मे किसी भी packet का sender and receiver कौन है |
Most Often MAC Address, network interface controller (NIC) के मैन्युफैक्चरर द्वारा assign किया जाता है एवं इसके हार्डवेयर मे स्टोर किया जाता है जैसे की card’s read-only memory या कोई और firmware मैकेनिज्म द्वारा | अगर मैन्युफैक्चरर assign करता है तो मैन्युफैक्चरर, MAC Address मे manufacturer’s registered identification नंबर भी encode कर देता है जिसको की burned-in address (BIA) भी कहा जाता है | मैक एड्रेस को बनाने के लिए नंबरिंग NAME SPACE के रूल (इन तीनो मे से – MAC-48, EUI-48, and EUI-64) फॉलो किये जाते है जो की the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) के दवारा मैनेज होता है |
How to check my computer Physical Address :-
Click Start – > open run (or search) ->type cmd
On command Prompt – Type :>ipconfig /all V
